The Department of Law at Rajshahi University (RU) organized an academic lecture titled “Peaceful Border: Duties and Responsibilities” on March 21, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Professor M. Badruddin Lecture Theater. The lecture was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Hashibul Alam Prodhan, Chairman of the Department of Law. The chief guest of the lecture was Professor Dr. Golam Sabbir Sattar, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University.
The main speaker of the lecture was Advocate S.M. Abraham Lincoln, a former student of the Department of Law of RU and a former Attorney General and Senator of Rakshus who received the Ekushe Padak in 2022. The respected speakers of the lecture were Professor Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Professor of the Department of Law, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Hannan, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Dr. M. Anisur Rahman, and Professor A.N.M Wahid, both teachers of the Department of Law.
At the lecture, the chief guest, Professor Dr. Golam Sabbir Sattar, presented a commemorative crest to Advocate S.M. Abraham Lincoln on behalf of the Department of Law in recognition of his receiving the Ekushe Padak in 2022 for his social service. About two and a half hundred students were present in the nearly three-hour discussion meeting. The lecture was moderated by Seida Mehzabin Katha.
