Welcome to the Rajshahi University Law Society of Alumni (RULSA)
The Rajshahi University Law Society of Alumni (RULSA) is the official alumni association of the Department of Law, University of Rajshahi. Formed with the collective spirit of our distinguished graduates, RULSA serves as a dynamic platform to connect former students of the department who are now contributing across diverse fields—legal practice, academia, public service, human rights, and beyond—both nationally and globally.
Recognizing the need for a formal network, RULSA was established in line with recommendations from the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and External Peer Review (EPR) Report of the department, as well as the standards of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (Standard 6.6). The society stands committed to fostering lifelong ties, advancing legal education, and promoting social responsibility through academic, cultural, and developmental initiatives.
RULSA is a non-political, non-profit, and welfare-oriented organization. Its core objectives include:
- Building mutual respect, understanding, and lasting relationships among alumni based in Bangladesh and abroad.
- Organizing skill-based training and collaborative programs to uplift professional excellence in the legal field.
- Initiating welfare projects for the benefit of RULSA members.
- Supporting current law students through academic advice, financial aid, and moral encouragement—especially those in need.
- Hosting social, cultural, and educational programs throughout the year.
- Promoting legal research by arranging seminars, workshops, publications, and encouraging advanced studies (MPhil, PhD).
- Collaborating with national and international universities and institutions to modernize and strengthen legal education.
- Organizing regular reunions to reconnect alumni with their roots.
