The Chess Championship, established in 2019, is a prestigious tournament that transcends the chessboard.
Conceived by Fardeen Bin Abdullah, a student at the University of Rajshahi’s Department of Law, (2017-18, Law 41) the championship fosters camaraderie, sportsmanship, and a love for chess that extends far beyond the game itself.
Over the years, this platform has welcomed players of all ages and backgrounds, uniting them under a shared passion for strategy and brilliance. Each captivating match becomes a new chapter woven into the rich tapestry of Rajshahi’s chess history.
The Championship has thrived in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023. Each year, it attracts a diverse range of participants from various regions, each adding their own unique chapter to the tournament’s rich history. In 2021, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers made the difficult decision to forgo the competition.pen_spark
